Acupuncture is a form of Chinese and Japanese medicine that involves using tiny needles to stimulate the sensory nerves under the skin to relieve pain. It can treat a range of musculoskeletal (MSK) problems such as back pain and general muscle tension, period pains (dysmenorrhea, endometriosis or fibroids) infertility, stress, anxiety, and depression. Needles are gently inserted and then left for between 20-30 minutes. Most people feel no little to no pain during the process, and report feeling deeply relaxed afterward the treatment session.

​Dry Needling is an Acupuncture method intended to treat symptoms of Myofascial pain. Single-use sterile needles are inserted into specific areas to target muscle adhesions and/or trigger points.  Dry Needling causes relaxation of muscle, debriding of scar tissue or muscle adhesions, as well as pain reduction by stimulating the body’s natural pain relievers; endorphins and the natural anti-inflammatory chemicals from our Nervous System to reduce swelling increasing joint mobility and/ or muscle flexibility. After the first treatment session, relief usually lasts 3-4 days. Following each session, the pain relief lasts longer. Up to 6 sessions can be required to eliminate the trigger point. 

The treatment will be preceded by a short consultation to better understand your health concerns and objectives, to tailor the acupuncture to your specific needs.

How does the treatments actually work?

Our body is made up of "qi", a vital energy source. "qi" energy is then transported in the body through meridians channels. Therefore, when "qi" becomes blocked, depleted or weak, illness occurs.

Acupuncture balances the flow of "qi" throughout our bodies by removing any barriers and sends the energy imbalance that form the root of many ailments.​
